Visa information

All visitors to Australia must have a valid visa to travel to and enter Australia. For visa information please refer to the website of the Department of Home Affairs website.

It is strongly recommended that Australian visa applications are lodged at least two (2) months prior to departure from your point of origin.

Visa Letters will be provided to conference delegates at the completion of registration, including payment.

Planning your travel

Due to the time difference in Australia and possible jet lag experiences by travellers, the Host Organising Committee suggests you consider arriving to Australia a couple of days prior to the commence of WONCA 2023. This will enable you to relax, acclimatise and familiarise yourself with your hotel and the local area before the start of WONCA 2023.

Quarantine

Australia is free from many plant and animal diseases prevalent in other countries. Very strict quarantine rules apply to the import of animals and plants which cannot be brought into the country without prior application. Animal and plant products are also restricted.
