WONCA Bursary terms and conditions

General

1. These terms apply to all WONCA bursaries. By submitting an application, applicants agree to these terms.
2. The bursary process is overseen by the WONCA 2023 Host Organising Committee.
3. By applying for a bursary, successful applicants agree to the RACGP publicising their name, institution, and country of origin, and for the RACGP to collect and use their personal information.
4. Personal information provided to the RACGP will be collected and used in accordance with the RACGP Privacy Policy, available at www.racgp.org.au/usage/privacy/ and may be shared with WONCA.
5. Applicants acknowledge and agree they are independent of the RACGP and not an employee or agent, and have no authority to bind the RACGP by contract or   otherwise.
6. No rights or obligations provided under a grant may be assigned, novated or otherwise transferred.
7. Any action, including any act of grace by the RACGP is only effective as a waiver if it is reduced in writing and provided to the other party, and then only to the extent of that written waiver.
8. These terms are governed by the laws exercised by the courts in the State of Victoria, Australia.

Selection Process

9. The WONCA 2023 Host Organising Committee is responsible for the independent, objective evaluation and review of bursary applications.
10. All decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into. Decisions made in relation to bursaries are not subject to reconsideration, review or appeal.
11. Applicants must notify the RACGP if they received funding from another source for attendance at WONCA 2023.

Reporting Requirements

12. Bursary recipients will be expected to submit a brief written report on their activities during WONCA 2023 World Conference and the use of their experience back home by Friday 8 December 2023.
13. Bursary recipients will be expected to assist the RACGP, if required, by being featured in media articles/releases and public announcements related to the bursary.
14. Reports may be used by the WONCA and RACGP for promotional purposes, for example on the RACGP website.
15. Reports will be retained by the RACGP and WONCA, and may be collated with other reports to provide information on the outcomes of the bursary program or as part of an evaluation of the program.

Payments

16. The payment of the bursary will not exceed $5,000 and successful applicants will be notified of the amount awarded in their letter of offer.
17. Applicants will be required to pay for their own travel and will only receive the bursary upon arrival at the conference in Sydney.
